Core Values

1 Corinthians 13:2

“We believe that love is the engine that drives the Gospel.  We are people who have been loved wildly, so it is our joy to love wildly as we engage the world around us.  While fear seems to be devastating our generation, we cling tightly to the knowledge that ‘Perfect love casts out fear.’  So, we choose to love, and we expect to see its power prevail every time.”

James 2:17

“We believe that faith without works is dead. The Gospel is, by nature, provocative--not affording us the luxury of a passive response.  So, we say yes to the call of Christ to advance courageously upward and outward, putting our faith into action without compromise.”

2 Timothy 3:16-17

“We believe that it is our honor and calling to help teach, equip, and inspire believers in their walk with Christ.  We work diligently to provide relevant biblical truth and access to divine mysteries that will ensure that those in our community become ‘thoroughly equipped for every good work.’"

1 Peter 2:17

“We believe it is a sacred privilege to be counted among God’s people. We recognize that God is glorified by the way we honor those he has put into our lives.  So, whether it is by giving well-deserved “double honor” to those who oversee the Church (1 Tim. 5:17), giving honor to the governing authorities of our land (Romans 13:1), or by honoring all men (1 Peter 2:17), we are committed to conducting ourselves with great honor both in our daily affairs, and in our posture toward the Church as God’s institution in the earth. ”

James 4:8

“We believe that the precious blood of Christ has made a way for us to draw near to God.  We believe that nearness to God is not only something we look forward to, but that we may ‘approach God with freedom and confidence’ (Eph. 3:12) today.  So we say, ‘yes’ to the invitation to seek His face, and we remain committed daily to pursuing an intimate connection with our God and Father.”

John 17:21

“We believe that if Christians will not love each other, we disqualify ourselves from loving the world.  We call believers to cross the lines that separate us by generation, race, denomination, or tradition, and learn to celebrate the diversity of expression in the Kingdom.  We believe that ALL who receive Christ have become children of God (John 1:12), and we embrace our many brothers and sisters around the world.”

Luke 2:14

“We believe that peace is the inheritance of all believers.  Just as the angels announced on the eve of the incarnation, “Peace on earth and good will toward men,”(Luke 2:14), we too proclaim the peace and good will of God demonstrated and established in Christ Jesus.  In contrast to a culture that seems to be constantly at war, we believe that our battles belong to the Lord, and that the Lord never loses.  So we trust Him with our fears and uncertainties, and we rest in the peace He died to give us.”
